Combining her experience in floristry, fine art and screen printing, Floriography showcases the work of Melbourne-based textile designer Bonnie Ashley.
Inspired by a love of nature, Bonnie's inaugural exhibition for Jumbled explores the language of flowers through their floral composition. Her artwork series features imagery of cosmos, zinnia, heuchera, begonia and calathea screen printed onto paper and individually hand cut before being arranged in their final collage.
Her chosen colour palette is directly influenced by nature with earthy tones and gold leaf highlights throughout.
Bonnie is best known as Creative Director and Co-Founder of Melbourne-based textile brand Bonnie and Neil. Created in partnership with her husband Neil Downie, Bonnie and Neil produce beautiful, functional products for the home.
